Hi @Captain24!
Ru-bee has finished for the day, but @tyme and I here if you'd like to chat.
Would definitely like some good TV/film recommendations if you have any! I have just been watching 'Perfect Match' and 'Love is Blind' - both very over-sensationalized reality shows that are somehow so mindless I forget to think at all (which helps haha).
yesterday
Hey @Captain24 🙂
Yeah @Captain24 @AuntGlow are both here. I haven't caught up on your posts so I'll go back and read them now 🙂
Hope you're okay.
I finished my meetings today. They were long and I was so tired after.

Heya @Captain24 ,
You've had such a big day today! Do you feel accomplished?
I'm a bit confused about your nan's hubby. Did he ask for you to go over?
Also, you couldn't go on this trip with your mum?
yesterday
I do feel accomplished even though things didn’t go to plan having some support got me through the afternoon.
Nans hubby doesn’t have anyone else here. He has a son that lives away but is useless anyway. He always calls mum for help so the next person was me.
Nah. I was suppose to be in hospital so she booked it without me.
I bet after 4 hours you were exhausted.
yesterday
I'm glad you were there to help out @Captain24 . As independent as he sounds, the world moves so quickly. Sometimes when I look at the kids, I think, "In the next 4 years, life will be totally different".
Yeah, 4 hours of meetings was a lot. I was buggered.
Have you planned out your 4 weeks yet at all?
Would you add your bestie coffee catch up to your plan?
yesterday
It helped him, he said he wasn’t sleeping and now he can. It only took me a few phone calls. @tyme He is really independent for 94. He won’t be around for much longer really.
I have organised lunch with a friend next week and my bestie works Monday-Friday so we are trying to organise a weekend lunch date.
Im trying to plan out things to do. Like clean out the walk in. I’m going away for a couple of days. But I don’t really know what else to do
I actually have just spoken to my bestie for the first time in ages.
yesterday
It's so positive to know that when things don't go to plan, having some support can help. 🥰 @Captain24
It was really kind of you to show up for nan's hubby with all that you have going on.
Talking to your bestie must have felt so nice. Is this the person you have mentioned before from hospital, or someone else? A weekend lunch date sounds lovely too.
My best friend and I are planning to see Wicked later in the year and then go to a Broadway Club where they just play showtunes! It's so fun and silly. Have you ever been to one? I feel like your inner child would really enjoy it.
yesterday
He was really appreciative @AuntGlow. That’s me though. I’ll drop anything if someone needs me. It’s hard and I struggle with it but I just do it.
Yeah she rang again and we just hung up. I’ve been friends with her for about 20 years. She was my dance teacher.
We saw wicked in Melbourne many years ago. Bert Newton was in it. Also Billy Elliot.
No I haven’t been to one. It would be right up her alley! She was a professional dancer all through Europe.
