I sorted him out. Several phone calls later though. But he now has a professor to work with his pacemaker. It’s an hour and a half away for appointments though. At least he has a full licence still and can drive over there. Not bad at 94.
I had to sort out his rates as nans still on them and has been gone 2 years.
I’ve just gotten home and now my day has been changed and I’m not coping with the change. Now I have to try and do things this afternoon and my afternoons don’t work. I don’t function in the afternoon. I’m stressing out. I’m overwhelmed.
yesterday
Hey @Captain24 I know afternoons are more difficult for you. What might make it a bit easier?
Maybe taking things one step at a time? Or having an accountability buddy?
yesterday
I just want to curl up in a ball and cry @Ru-bee.
I just had mum on the phone and all she did was whinge about the holiday she is on. They are waiting for dad’s sister to come for lunch and she is late as always and is neurotic. She’s really hard to handle. Mum has stuff she wants to do this afternoon but dad’s sister will probably be stuck there.
I’ve got a sick dog. Pix isn’t rushing for her food which means she is really sick. She didn’t come for a treat either. Pix loves her food. That’s why she is overweight.
I need to bath them as I’ve changed my sheets and doona cover and I don’t want dirty dogs on them. I hate bathing them it’s takes so long and especially in the afternoons as I have to make sure they are fully dry.
Sorry I’m all over the place. I’m not doing so good and I think it could be the withdrawal. Only one more lot of withdrawals to go through and then I’m off them. It feels like it’s been forever.
I was sick last night and the thought of food makes my stomach churn. It’s not helping.

Here for you @Captain24
Poor Pixie! It's horrible when pets aren't feeling well! Hopefully it's just an upset tummy and it passes quickly. I remember when my cat (who is obsessed with food and always bouncing off the walls) wouldn't eat one morning and was acting really lethargic. I cancelled all my plans to keep an eye on him and was so worried...but then the next day he woke up like new as if nothing had happened! I hope Pix has a similar bounce back!
I feel you about the dog bathing, I have to wash Toby tomorrow and I'm not too excited about it. It's so nice when they're all clean and smelling fresh though! And at least they are small dogs, imagine having to wash a husky or one of those large poodles, I don't think I'd have the patience!
yesterday
Both dogs bathed and dried @Ru-bee. That’s something that had to happen.
Does Toby like a bath? Jett hates it. He hates water. He holds on tight and it’s hard to get him in the laundry tub! He is pretty good to dry though. I could never bath a big dog it would be sooo much work. The little ones are hard enough.
Pix has a special treat after the bath but hasn’t asked for any. I’m really worried about her. It’s totally not like her at all. I’m hoping it’s just the new food I tried her on but all the signs suggest pancreatitis.
Now I need to go and have a shower and wash my hair. That just feels too much. But has to be done.
Just telling you this holds me accountable. Thanks for your help.
yesterday
Look at you go @Captain24!
Toby is sad when he needs a bath but is okay...it's the hair dryer he hates but it needs to be done because his skin gets irritated if I don't dry around his floppy ears.
Poor Pix, keeping my fingers crossed for her.
I bet you're gonna feel so much better once you've showered, the dogs are clean and there's fresh sheets too! Amazing feeling when everything is so fresh and all of that work is behind you!
yesterday
I’ve had a shower and washed and dried my hair and I’ve ironed the clothes I got off the line and packed them away. @Ru-bee. I’m done. I just can’t do anymore. Mondays list is done but there is still a couple of things on today’s list but I just can’t do them.
They are funny. Poor thing is sad. Jett won’t even look at me and he hangs his head in shame! Both mine are ok with the hairdryer but I do them in the washing machine so they can’t get away! I can’t even tell you that he will get use to the hairdryer cause it’s been over a year and Jett hasn’t gotten use to the bath! I think they need to be dried especially in winter, pix has a think coat and wouldn’t dry and Jetts hair is fine but so hard to dry so he wouldn’t dry wither plus he feels the cold really badly.
yesterday
You did it! @Captain24 I think that's definitely enough things to tick off for one day.
Do you have any restful plans for the evening?
yesterday
I just put on Netflix and apparently I’m part way through a series. So I started to watch the next episode. I really have no idea what it’s about. I’m totally lost. @Ru-bee.
Maybe I should watch a movie instead. I don’t know. Maybe I won’t be able to follow that either. It’s making me feel stupid.
Do you have plans for tonight?
yesterday
I hear you @Captain24 I struggle with that too sometimes so I am a big fan of rewatching things when I don't have the capacity to watch something new.
I will probably just be watching something tonight. I've started watching the show Bump and have a few seasons to get through, and I'll try to get myself to fold some laundry at the same time
