Oh.. it’s brutal @Jynx. Tonight is a massive struggle. Thoughts are getting darker and darker real fast.

Are they just baby shirts? I don’t have any jumpers for Pix but she hates them. I have a parka coming for her for walking in the freezing cold and rain. Jett has a few jumpers but he is always cold. 

Im just watching catch up from being at work. I’ve just finished a weeks worth of home and away now I think I should start in neighbours. 

I haven’t seen 30rock since I was a kid. They’re aliens living as humans aren’t they?

I’ll take a photo when it arrives. Hopefully it’ll fit. It’s due this week. I can’t find a decent jacket for Jett. He is so skinny but so long so they only come halfway down his back. The main jumper I put on him has back leg straps to keep it down on his back. 

I have seen pics. When you get new ones you’ll have to share again. 

I just googled it and I was thinking of 3rd rock from the sun. It had John Lithgow in it. It was quite funny from what I remember. I’ve only seen the odd mork and Mindy show.

Yeah.. Mork was Robin Williams. I think it was the start of his career and he took off from there. Mork and Mindy is before my time… yeah I think 10 years sounds about right. Just going off stuff. I grew up with the Jetsons, Astro boy, flint stones and teenage mutant ninja turtles

Honestly it's like we have the dog/cat versions of each other's pets lol the fancy long haired angel and the short-haired grumpy gremlin 🤣

oh see TMNT was in my childhood for sure!! And I think we had a VHS of the Flintstones movie lol with John Goodman in it? I remember it being good but haven't watched it as an adult!!

My shorter haired fluffy one is the sweet one and the longer haired is the gremlin so it’s kinda in reverse but the same. 

TMNT was in my junior high school years. My brother was obsessed with them. I don’t remember a flintstones movie. But it woulda been good. I loved them. We use to get up early every morning and watch the cartoons on Agro’s cartoon connection before school. That’s when there was good stuff on tv for kids. 

I’ll be around all day. So I’ll see you when I see you.

Sorry, I was out last night, but I'm here today for a short time. Are you around? I'll be here until around 1:30pm.

I read that your brother's partner 'is having a cancer scare'. Does that mean she is going through tests or something? Or was it just a scare and she doesn't have cancer?

I'm wondering whether the challenges are the do with the cancer as opposed to BPD?

With BPD, environmental factors have strong impact on the person. That is, if their environment is safe, they are ok, but if their environment is up and down, then they will often feel dysregulated.

Thoughts?

As for your brother, I hope he can find ways to let her know he cares and is around, but also make space to step away if he needs to.

She had something cut out and they think it’s cancer. I’m not sure what or where. Her brother died of a rare brain tumour when he was young. So it’s sacking her. 

I was wondering if this stress could cause her dysregulation her BPD. I know BPD is different to what I go through.

I don’t think she gets any help for it. Talking to mum she was diagnosed with bipolar and then they changed it. I’m not sure of the details in the diagnosis. Talking to mum on Wednesday was the first we learnt much about her. Mum was worried about what to say to her so I gave her some self care stuff to do. Just basics like go for a walk, go outside, journal, have a hot drink and do here hobby. It was as like it was the first time she was hearing it mum said. 

I wanted to call her and let her talk freely as she doesn’t have to be careful with what she says to me. But being mindful that things work differently in both of us but really similar at the same time, will just giving her space to talk and suggesting self care ideas help? Breathing, grounding? 

So the best thing for my brother is to go to work and to take the dog for walks to give himself some space?

I'm thinking that it might be good to talk to her and let her know you are around, but you may not necessarily let her call whenever? The last thing we want is for a dependency to happen and hence setting some of those boundaries early can be super useful. With my BPD, I've had to tendency to latch on to people who showed they cared. 

As for your brother, I think it's important that he does what he can to have a break and look after himself. I can be very emotionally taxing.
