Caring for a loved one often means taking on new responsibilities. As rewarding as this may be, we need to remember our own self-care. We all know we can’t pour from an empty cup. So let’s take this opportunity to recharge our batteries!
Each week, we will be adding self-care tips to Wednesdays’ Well of Wellness.
Feel free to share your self-care tips too!
Together, let us draw from this Well of Wellness throughout the week so that we, as a community, can build up this support network in our Carers’ Corner.
No matter how little or much you are involved in your loved one’s care, we thank you and appreciate all your support!

This Wednesday's Wellness Tip looks like this:
As carers, what is something you can do today as part of your self-care?
Hope to hear from you.

Hey @Stargirl !
Breathing is soooooo under-rated! I'm glad you have found the magic of BREATHING!
I used to hate being told to BREATHE....now, having understood the science, I absolutely vouch for it!
I appreciate all the care tips you have named there including pet/animal therapy, mindful gardening, and mindful breathing.
Good on you, @Stargirl !

I lost two rabbits over 2 consecutive weeks from COVID only recently (yes, it affects rabbits too!)
I was very upset at first, but my self-care was remembering all the good times, looking at photos and videos of them having fun, and remembering all the times they escaped out of their hutch - I had to go running down the street to get them!
We had so much fun 🙂
