Re: I can’t cope

I went to bed and had a little bit of a nap. @AuntGlow @Ru-bee I’m still so exhausted. I’ve just got nothing. My cup isn’t empty it’s shattered.

I have to get up and feed the dogs.

I’m still really not ok. I’ve tried.

Re: I can’t cope

Do you think you need some extra support tonight @Captain24? What could help you get through to bed time tonight when you can really sleep?

Re: I can’t cope

I’m going to cook some dinner when I can get out of bed @Ru-bee. I’m not sure what tonight looks like. Right now I’m too tired to look past the next few

minutes. I’m guessing I’ll sit and watch tv. It might be an early night. I’ve got lots to do tomorrow but I may allow myself a sleep in

Re: I can’t cope

These are her stairs up to the bed @tyme ignore  the mess. I don’t have it in me to clean

Re: I can’t cope

I had dinner and now I feel sick. Why does everything have to be so hard? I’m trying so hard to look after myself.

Don't worry I’m not worth caring about.

Re: I can’t cope

Yeah I hear how hard you're working to look after yourself right now @Captain24

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well after dinner. Sometimes it's like the straw that broke the camel's back isn't it?

Have you got the tv on?

Re: I can’t cope

It’s pushed me over the edge @Ru-bee

I have home and away on.

Re: I can’t cope

Yeah I hear you @Captain24 you have already been carrying such a load today, the last thing you need is the discomfort of feeling sick. is there anything we could do together to help things feel a bit more manageable? Maybe we could try some grounding?

Re: I can’t cope

We could try @Ru-bee

Re: I can’t cope

Maybe we could give the 3-3-3 one that @rav3n posted a go @Captain24?

  • Name 3 things you see: scan the space around you. For each item you identify, really focus on the details of it – what colour is it? Is it heavy or light? Big or small? What’s the texture of the object?
  • Name 3 things you hear: what are some sounds near you or far from you, are they soft or loud? Listen closely to identify them.
  • Move 3 parts of your body: it can be light or dramatic movements such as slowly rolling your shoulders, clenching and unclenching your fists, wiggling your fingers and toes, jumping up and down, shaking your wrists, etc.
