I'm no good at crafty stuff. All I can do is knit bsby booties and beanies. But it's very basic knitting. As for art - I remember trying it as a group in hospital and I cried because I didn't know how to draw and felt everyone was looking at me and judging me. It was horrible. I ended up walking out of the class.

I think it's pretty clever to make anything @BlueBay. I can't knit at all as I don't have the coordination to use two needles. Baby booties and beanies sound lovely. When it comes to myself and art, I just don't have it. Last year I was in respite and they had art therapy offered. I remember being very nervous and very reluctant to join in. It was kind of scary to be in a group situation like that and I nearly walked out also. I ended up using some pastels and a dark piece of paper, and spent my time blending them in shapes, watching the colours change. It was more 'play' and 'mess' than art and I really enjoyed getting lost in the colours. There was no pressure to create anything in particular which I think can really help when it comes to art and craft. I wonder if something like that might be a nice creative outlet for you? ❤

That might be better to do. I love colouring in mandelas. I have a book and when I go to hospital I bring my book and pencils with me.
I get lost in my own little world when I colour in. But as for art and drawing - that's not for me either.
I'm knitting some booties and beanie for my manager who is pregnant. I am using lemon as she doesn't know what she's having. They are so tiny. When I'm finished and if I can work it out I'll put a photo on here

Colouring is a lovely distraction I find @BlueBay. I like trying to copy zentangle drawings and patterns also, then colouring them in. I think it's a great idea to try different arts and crafts, but also try not to put pressure on ourselves with them too. The pleasure in creating seems to disappear when that happens.

Lemon is a great colour choice. I love the tinyness of newborn clothes - cluck cluck 🐔🐣 Looking forward to seeing a photo if you do share. Hope you find some comfort and distraction with them, and those feel goods for giving something handmade 😊
