Re: Craft Corner

Lol @CheerBear i had to stop looking at pintrest.  The more I looked the more I wanted to do! I have so many boards most of them in catagories ie blankets, amigurumi and so on ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Did you decide what you might want to do?

Re: Craft Corner

It's a dangerous sinking trap of awesomeness @outlander ๐Ÿ˜†

I might pick up my pencils and fineliner I think. Mix it up a bit! Plus playing with pencils is a bit easier to pick up and put down while supervising slime scientists ๐Ÿ˜

Gotta do some doing now I think. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with that border. Catch you soon ๐Ÿ‘‹โค

Re: Craft Corner

Oh gosh slime! @CheerBear yes pencils are better when thats around lol.
Have a good day ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜˜

Re: Craft Corner

That borders abit tricky @CheerBear

Re: Craft Corner

It is fiddly and takes some working out @outlander. Have you been able to get it started?

Re: Craft Corner

Yeah bur its not where near as good as yours @CheerBear it doesnt really look right but i dont know where ive gone wrong

Re: Craft Corner

reverse shell stitch.jpg@CheerBeardoes this look right? this is the second attempt.. the part at the top is bugging me in the rianbow section- i was palying yarn chicken and lost by 2 stitches ๐Ÿ˜’ this one looks abit better but it doesnt seem to look right either..

Re: Craft Corner

It looks great @outlander!

Each one of my shells when I did it was a little more in front of the one behind (tricky to explain). I'm wondering if you're putting one of the first or last stitches one too early or late. That might make a difference.

I'm super tired tonight but will have another look at the video tomorrow and see if it jogs my memory. Your shells and stitches themselves look great so I'm sure once you get the placement (or turn maybe) it will do the reverse shell thing more.

Re: Craft Corner

@CheerBear thanks, theres something going wrong but i cant quite pick out where it is as im following along with the tutorial. might have to practice abit more. yours overlapped more like the actual way its suppose to be. will try again tomorrow.

Hugs, sounds like an early night might be on the cards for you Heart

Re: Craft Corner

Gooood morning @outlander ๐ŸŒž

I was having a bit of a look at your pic and at the tutorial today and think that maybe where things are a little wonky is in the slip stitch 'anchor' between two shells. I found it at 4:17 on the YouTube tutorial I shared if you'd like to have another look. It's hard to tell from the photo but possibly you're anchoring a stitch ahead rather than to the shell before, which could be why they're looking a little 'flat' and not as bunchy or ruffly (very technical of me there ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†).

I could also be wrong here but my guess is this. I hope you can work it out as you're so close and it will look awesome!

Ps did you whip up that Granny square yesterday to practice on? If so that's some dedication right there! I don't think I've ever done one just to practice on!
